The Steels have returned to Youth For Christ Military! In 1997, after 7 years with YFC in Iowa, Tracy and Karna took their 2 infant sons to serve with YFC Military in Italy. After 4 years of difficult but fruitful ministry in Naples, the Lord moved the Steels to Aviano AB in the north of Italy. Then, after 11 years of abundant ministry in Italy, the Lord directed them to help start YFC in the Czech Republic. In 2017, after 9 years in Czech and enjoying the fruit of a thriving ministry, they returned with their 5 sons to Iowa and started YFC Dubuque. With 5 growing Campus Life Clubs and over 40 trained and vetted volunteers, the ministry in Dubuque was also thriving. But when the call came to return to Aviano AB, the area where the Steels have the most experience, the Lord made it abundantly clear this was His new direction for them. YFC Dubuque has been handed off to Heartland YFC and the Steels are back in Italy!
Together with their son Reilly, Tracy and Karna will restart Aviano AB Campus Life Military ministry and reopen the Cadence International Hospitality House! Considering recent world events, the need has never been greater for military family ministry. The Steels are excited to build on their 11 years of experience serving Aviano military families as they share the Gospel and disciple youth, Airmen, women, and families in Aviano.
But they cannot answer the call of God without His people sending them out! First and foremost, they need your prayer support. But they also need “launchers and sustainers” to help them launch new ministry and to build sustainable ministry that will continue to bring the Gospel to youth, service members and families serving in Italy. These families are serving to preserve the freedom of many around the world and they deserve our help – real and tangible help.
